At CSR, storm threat assessment is a vital part of coordinating plans for a successful snow removal operation. The threat assessment reports we receive are very detailed and geographically specific, right down to a specific zip code. Among a number of things, it identifies the timing, severity, and duration. As much as thirty-six to forty-eight hours in advance of the storm we’re evaluating its future impact and communicating our strategy to tackle the challenge that’s coming.
THE IMPORTANCE OF POST-STORM COMMUNIATIONS.
Once a storm has passed, it doesn’t mean that the problems it created have gone away with it. We are in contact with CSR clients, post-storm, to provide information about the temperature range during the day and at night which may cause snow to melt and refreeze. Air temperatures may also differ from the temperature on the ground which may be at freezing or below causing hazardous icing conditions on roads, parking areas, and walkways. When situation like this are likely, we alert customers as a safety precaution for their company’s workforce and notify them that we will be working to prevent and eliminate the problem areas.
PEACE OF MIND COMES FROM GOOD COMMUNICATIONS
When a storm is imminent, CSR clients never have to worry about their site. They know that we’re constantly checking their location and monitoring the conditions. We regularly report what we find and when we find conditions that require attention we let them know what we’ve found and the actions we’ll be taking to make sure that things are safe.
