How Our Agricultural Background Benefits Our Snow Removal Customers

When we say we have an agricultural background, we don’t mean one of our employees used to visit their grandparents’ farm as a child.

Our President and Founder, Jordan Doyle, is a sixth-generation dairy farmer. He grew up on a farm and still owns Doyle’s Farm in Flemington, NJ.

More than a passing interest, farming and agriculture have always been a way of life for Jordan. Jordan worked in snow removal with his older siblings before he even had a driver’s license, and he took over managing the company at age 16 when his brother suffered a serious injury.

What does this mean for Commercial
Snow Removal (CSR) customers?

The team at CSR has knowledge, skills, and resources that the average snow removal company doesn’t, all of which can in turn provide more reliability, more peace of mind, and better results.

For example, how many snow removal companies know how to apply their liquid fertilization expertise to enhance
pre-treatments for snow removal? How many snow removal companies know how to repurpose or modify plows for agricultural equipment? How many snow removal companies are capable of building their own sprayers based on their experience with herbicide sprayer configurations?

How many snow removal companies follow the latest innovations in agricultural equipment to see how these tools can be used for snow removal? Agricultural equipment is ideal for snow removal because it’s built for 360-degree visibility, long hauls, and heavy workloads. With no blind spots, snow removal is more efficient and allows operators to stay fresh.

The bottom line is that CSR doesn’t have to wait for the perfect equipment to become available from manufacturers. We can take what’s available and redesign, rebuild, and adapt to create solutions that allow us to better serve our clients.

In addition to our uncommon knowledge, our agricultural background gives us a deep respect for land and the environment, which is a big reason why we go to great lengths to develop sustainable solutions for removing snow and ice. Granular pre-treatment material used by most companies requires 100 pounds of salt per acre, while the soluble brine used by CSR uses only 2.3 pounds per acre.

Most importantly, we know the value of strong roots in terms of family, agriculture, and company culture. We view snow management as our way to not only keep your organization functioning, but to keep your people safe.
