How CSR Keeps You Up and Running… Safely

We believe there is no such thing as being too prepared. Preparation makes organizations more resilient to unpredictable events and helps to keep people safe.

This is why we at Commercial Snow Removal (CSR) are already having conversations with clients about their snow management plans for the upcoming season. Facility managers realize that any gaps in the plan can disrupt operations and drain productivity.

Of course, these costs are nothing compared to a serious injury caused by an auto accident or slip and fall. Injuries can also lead to ugly lawsuits and terrible publicity for the organization. Depending on the severity of the incident, lack of preparation for winter weather could result in lost clients, lost revenue, or even permanent shutdown.

Responsible, proactive snow and ice removal planning that keeps people and organizations safe requires more than a plow and a few bags of rock salt. You need a documented strategy that leaves no questions unanswered about the safety of your facility’s external environment.

For example:

Who will be our point of contact?
You’ll have a dedicated snow management consultant who will work with your facility team to develop a comprehensive plan that covers people, processes, and equipment.

How do we know your equipment is reliable and your materials are available?
We store, manage, and service our own equipment and we pre-buy and stock plenty of salt and calcium before the season arrives. From tractor-mounted snow blowers that clean down to the surface, to pressurized specialty salters that cover large areas, our equipment can handle any situation.

How do we know for sure that CSR will be there when a storm hits?
When a storm is in the forecast, we’ll contact you via email to review the weather report and your snow removal plan. Our full-service team will be on-site prior to a storm and performs 36-hour, pre-storm mobilization drills, If something goes wrong, we always have a backup team ready to go.

Do we need to worry about slip and falls from melting ice?
No. We make sure surfaces are dry – not just free of ice – and we continue monitoring surfaces on-site to ensure ice is no longer an issue. Because most falls happen two to three days after a storm, we’ll continue to perform ice checks when temps dip below freezing.
